Climate Resilience and Environmental Governance

Advance Climate Resilience and Environmental Governance: The StateLabs Institute (StateLabs) advances climate resilience as a governance and peacebuilding priority by integrating climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable resource management into public policy and institutional frameworks. This thematic area focuses on rural and pastoralist regions most affected by climate shocks, examining how environmental governance shapes development outcomes, social cohesion, and conflict prevention. STATELABS generates evidence-based policy solutions that strengthen climate-responsive governance, improve management of land and water resources, and enhance state–citizen trust in climate-vulnerable contexts.
